Michael Bay's production company Platinum Dunes has set its sights on updating the 1968 shocker Rosemary's Baby for modern audiences. The original, directed by Roman Polanski, is widely considered by many (myself included) to be one first "modern" horror pictures--right behind Psycho, which itself was remade 10 years ago.
"Dunes" has had success with the updated The Texas Chainsaw Massacre flicks...But they've also done their fair share of stinkers with The Amityville Horror and the dreadful Hitcher retread. With several other horror do-overs in the works, like The Birds and Friday the 13th, like those '09 releases, the new "Baby" could go either way.
