This news has been out there for a bit now--but in case you missed it...
Variety recently reported that Joe Hill, son of novelist Stephen King, is continuing to follow family traditions. A 2nd story-the graphic novel series Locke And Key" is headed to the the big screen with and plans to turn it into a potential franchise
The story focuses on 3 children who become the caretakers of Keyhouse, an old New England mansion hiding many secrets and filled with magic. The kids soon discover doors that take them to different places, give them powers and even alter gender and skin color. Hoever behind one door lives a dangerous and violent creature.
'Locke' is presented in book form as three six-issue installments (18 in total), it's not known how many issues will be used to assemble the initial film script...But obviously if the film adaptation proves to be a hit...There's plenty of material for a film franchise to be born and grow.
