Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Watchmen) has signed on to star in the psychological thriller "The Unblinking Eye" according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The story sees a determined journalist hunting down a retired homicide detective (Morgan) who has become a recluse after nearly being killed by a serial killer. Dark stories from both their pasts come out as the pair face each other.
Michael Bassett ("Solomon Kane") wrote and will direct the pic.
Juliusz Kossakowski and Kevan Van Thompson are producing.
Production kicks off in May.
I just love it when Morgan does Bad-Ass...
Meantime via MTV Morgan's next comic book based action film, The Losers directed by Sylvain White has been moved from its April 9th release date to June 4th--so that it would not compete for box office with another Warner Bros.movie, Clash of the Titans, which had its own release date moved from March 26th to April 2nd to accommodate reshoots and a 3-D conversion
Idris Elba, Chris Evans, Columbus Short, Jason Patric, and Zoe Saldana co-star.
The shift means there will be four new releases that weekend..The actiom pic will be facing off against the Russell Brand/Jonah Hill comedy Get Him To The Greek, Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl's Killers and the CGI enhanced Marmaduke
The new date also means that it comes out just one week earlier than similar themed movie, The A-Team.
