Boyle's Got Fassbender In A "Trance"

Michael Fassbender is in talks to join Danny Boyle's thriller "Trance" says The Hollywood Reporter.

A remake of Joe Ahearne's 2001 British telemovie, the story follows an assistant at an auction house who masterminds an art heist with a gang of crooks. Afterwards, he suffers a blow to the head and wakes up with amnesia. The problem is he's the only one who knows where the painting’s location is. The gang begin to get suspicious and hire a female hypnotist to get into his brain.

Fassbender would be playing “the shady leader of the gang who partners with the assistant.”.

The pic is described in the “dark, sexy, hard-edged tone of Boyle films like Shallow Grave and Trainspotting,”

Excited by this team up and what it might accomplish with the material....!

Shooting kicks off this September in London with Boyle taking a break in order to focus on directing the opening ceremonies of the London 2012  Summer Olympics. He'll then resume editing and post-production late next year for a release in March 2013.

Boyle and Christian Colson will produce .
