Michael Cera is set to star in the indie thriller "Magic, Magic" says Variety.
The story revolves around a girl vacationing with her friends in a remote area of Chile where she slowly starts losing her mental faculties. She tries to get her friends' attention, but they ignore her until it's too late.
The search for a female lead is underway.
Sebastian Silva will write and direct
Christine Vachon (Boys Don't Cry, One Hour Photo) and Mike White will produce the pic.
The role in the film is promised to be something of a departure for the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World star. You mean that Cera's nice nebbish underdog persona is wearing thin?
