Trio Joins Freaky Deaky

Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser and Craig Robinson are in talks to join the long-in-development adaptation of Elmore Leonard's “ Freaky Deaky" says Variety



Leonard’s classic 1970's-set book has Sienna Miller playing a former radical turned romance novelist who tracks down her old partner in crime, a movie special effects man, for one last score. Their target: a wealthy alcoholic (William H. Macy) whom she blames for sending her to prison. Trouble is, she ain't the only one after him as both a suspended cop and a former Black Panther want to join in on the gig.

Dillon plays Chris Mankowski a Vietnam vet who is on the Detroit police bomb squad; Fraser plays Skip, the former 60s radical who becomes a Hollywood demolition guy; and Robinson plays plays said former Black Panther looking for a way to cash in

Charles Matthau wrote the adapted screenplay and will call the shots.

Camilla Belle Sam Rockwell and Hayden Christensen were all previously linked the film at one point...

The film is now scheduled to start shooting later this month.
