Michael Fassbender is now linked to the lead role in Darren Aronofsky's "gritty" take on the biblical tale of "Noah" reports Variety.
Aronofsky & Ari Handel. wrote the script for "Noah," but they have since handed re-writing duties to John Logan (The Last Samurai, Gladiator).
An offer was originally out to Christian Bale but he passed on the role. Fassbender has not gotten an official offer but has reportedly already discussed the part with Aronofsky.
Fassbender has a hole in his schedule due to the fact that Rupert Wyatt's doing the Untitled Rise of the Planet of the Apes Sequel rather than true tale "Londongrad" in which Fassbender was to have starred
Aronofsky and Scott Franklin will produce the Noah movie.
Production is now aiming to kick off in the Spring.
