More Grown Ups On The Way

Plans are moving forward on a sequel to Adam Sandler's 2010 comedy Grown Ups says Variety.

The original starred Sandler, Kevin James David Spade, Chris Rock and Rob Schneider as five friends who reunite over the 4th of July weekend to attend their youth basketball coach's funeral. It was helmed by Dennis Dugan.

Talks have started with the first film's scribe Fred Wolf about doing the next screenplay.

Sandler has no deal in place for "Grown Ups 2" and his involvement depends on the script, but the notion isn't a shock. The first one was Sandler's highest-grossing film worldwide at $271 million despite a majority of negative reviews
