Bratt Joins Drug Trade In Snitch

Actor Benjamin Bratt has joined the cast of the action drama "Snitch"says Variety.

The film sees Barry Pepper as a DEA agent assist a construction company owner and father (Dwayne Johnson) free his son after being wrongfully incarcerated.

Bratt portrays a major player in the Mexican drug trade exposed by Johnson.

Susan Sarandon  Jon Bernthal Melina Kanakaredes, Michael K. Williams, Rafi Gavron, and Nadine Velazquez also star.

Ric Roman Waugh is set to direct and will re-write Justin Haythe's screenplay The story is based on a Frontline documentary.

Nigel Sinclair, Guy East, Alex Brunner, David Fanning, Gordon Gray and Johnson are producing.

Production started this week in Shreveport, Louisiana, and will wrap on January 19 for release in the first quarter of 2013.
