Trek 2: Weller Travels To The Final Frontier

Former "Robocop" star Peter Weller is joining the cast of the as yet "Untitled Star Trek Sequel" in an unspecified role says Deadline It is described as a principal part.

Weller has been part of the Trek universe before. The actor played a xenophobic factional leader determine to expel all aliens from our solar system in two episodes of "Star Trek: Enterprise" in 2005.


Benicio del Toro could be Khan Noonien Singh or Klingon or Gorn or whatever Trek baddie while Alice Eve is in serious talks for a major role as well

Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho are all returning to the Final Frontier in their respective roles

Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof wrote the script for director J.J. Abrams

The sequel will be produced by Abrams, Kurtzman, Orci, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, and David Ellison.

Production starts mid-January; The sequel will open on May 17th 2013 and is being shot in 3-D
