The story centers on a sheltered young woman (Julianne Hough) who loses her faith after a plane crash and goes to Las Vegas, where she meets an unlikely companion (Russell Brand).
Octavia Spencer will play card dealer at a casino on the strip where Brand works.
Cody also wrote the script.
Mason Novick will produce the pic.
Shooting will kick off next Spring.
