Johansson is going to play a woman who moves to New York City to pursue musical dreams with her boyfriend. When his career takes off without her, she meets a down-on-his luck record producer (Ruffalo) who spots her raw talent.
Anthony Bregman, Nigel Sinclair and Guy East will produce while Judd Apatow will executive produce the film.
Producton kicks off in June.
