Will Ferrell will play a narcissistic hedge fund manager who thinks he has seen God.
Steve Carell also stars.
Alan Cohen and Alan Freedland wrote the previous draft.
Ferrell, Gary Sanchez, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy are producing the film.
Production hopes to kick off next July.
