McG Opens Magic Castle

McG ("Terminator Salvation," "Charlie's Angels") is set to direct the Magic Castle film in development says THR.

Located just above Hollywood and more than a century-old, the building is run by the non-profit Academy of Magical Arts. The organization is devoted to the advancement of the ancient art of prestidigitation (magic tricks and illusion).

The academy boasts a membership of nearly 5,000 people and its president is none other than actor Neil Patrick Harris.

Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are writing the script

Ted Field and Mike Weber are producing.

McG will shoot "Three Days to Kill" first.
