Shankman Leaves "You" Levy Might Stay

Shawn Levy ("Night at the Museum") is in negotiations to replace Adam Shankman as director of "This Is Where I Leave You"says Yahoo.

Based on Jonathan Tropper's novel, the story centers on a father who dies and requests that his highly dysfunctional and non-religious family sit Shiva for seven days.

Tropper has written the adapted script.

At last report Goldie Hawn, was to play the family matriarch while Jason Bateman, Zac Efron, and Leslie Mann were poised to be playing siblings. While Malin Akerman would play Bateman’s wife whose affair with his boss (Jason Sudeikis) goes public.

The casting will most likely be upended a bit

Jennifer Gibgot, Paula Weinstein Shankman and Jeff Levine are producing the film.

Levy wants this to be the next movie he makes and plans to shoot it next summer.
