Johnson And The Rat Set For "Hercules"

Though rumored a while back, it is now confirmed that both Dwayne Johnson and director Brett Ratner have officially signed on to do Hercules: The Thracian Wars together says Variety.

An adaptation of the Steve Moore penned comic, the story follows Hercules years after he carried out his twelve tasks and has turned his back on the Gods. He discovers a higher calling as he defends the mythical Mount Olympus from an evil army.

Ryan Condal and Evan Spiliotopoulos penned the adapted script

Ratner, Beau Flynn and Barry Levine will produce.

Production kicks off early next year.
