Chris Hemsworth Eyed For "Shop" & "Triumph"

Chris Hemsworth snagged a role in Stephen Gaghan's crime drama "Candy Shop" says The Film Stage.

The story follows an elite, highly trained deep-cover operative who loses everything. He ultimately disappears into Brooklyn where he must start again.

He becomes a beat cop, only to discover the global organization he was dedicated to fighting is also operating in his new backyard.

Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Bradley Cooper are all said to be circling the project which will likely be a large ensemble like "Syriana" and Traffic

Hemsworth is also being looked for the Steve McQueen biopic "Triumph Aka 40 Summers Ago".

Brandon Murphy and Philip Murphy are penning the script which deals with the friendship between McQueen and his stunt double Bud Ekins . Elkins pulled off the infamous fence jump in "The Great Escape" and some of the key stunts for Bullitt.

Chris' little bro Liam Hemsworth is attached to co star.

Jerry Weintraub will produce the pic.

This film is not to not to be confused with the as yet Untitled Steve McQueen Biopic starring Jeremy Renner
