The fantasy-horror film is based on Stephen King's short story "Gramma", Published in the 1985 anthology "Skeleton Crew" the tale follows two young boys who, along with their single mother (Frances O'Connor), take care of their elderly, senile grandmother. They discover she's a witch who made a deal with a dark force years beforehand.
Both young actors are more than up to doing the characters justice in the film.
This was previously adapted for the small screen as an episode of "The New Twilight Zone" written by author Harlan Ellison
Peter Cornwell (The Haunting in Connecticut) will direct from the adapted script by Matt Greenberg
McG Mary Viola and Jason Blum will produce the pic.
