The story for the sci-fi tale follows "three scientists, attempting work on stem cell and advanced computer technology, which will change the fundamentals of human life. Tension comes into play when they are met by protest and resistance."
Jack Paglen penned the script.
Johnny Depp is set while Christian Bale, James McAvoy, Tobey Maguire, Noomi Rapace and Christoph Waltz are all circling the film.
Marisa Polvino, Kate Cohen, Annie Marter, David Valdes, Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove will produce.
Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas are serving as executive producers.
Pfister has worked on seven of Nolan’s films since "Memento" including his Batman trilogy and "Inception" for which he won an Oscar.
Production hopes to begin by February.
