In an exclusive chat with Collider's Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub "The Amazing Spider-Man" director Marc Webb talks about his plans for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
In the video he discusses the recent casting of Jamie Foxx as bad guy Electro. The role was previously played by Kirsten Dunst in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy. Webb tells us that the subplot backstory concerning the disappearance of Peter Parker's parents Richard (Campbell Scott) and Mary (Embeth Davidtz) is far from done. And why he decided to come back for the sequel..And More...
Andrew Garfield is already set to return as Peter Parker and Emma Stone in talks to reprise her role as Gwen Stacy.
Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner are writing the script based on a previous draft by James Vanderbilt. "The Amazing Spider-Man" director Marc Webb will be back calling action.
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will produce.
The new film is due to begin production early next year to meet its May 2nd 2014 release date.
The first film in the rebooted series hits Blu-ray and DVD on Friday November 9th.
