Cook Goes To Vietnam In "Matterhorn"

Matt Cook will write and direct the Vietnam War drama "Matterhorn" says Variety.

The story is set in Vietnam in 1969 at a fire-support base located between Laos and the DMZ. The key characters are a recent college graduate and second lieutenant along with his teenage colleagues.

Highly decorated veteran Karl Marlantes spent thirty years writing the book on which the film will be based.

Basil Iwanyk will produce the picture.
