James Franco is at the top of the list to star in the film adaptation of David Lindsay-Abaire’s play "Good People" says The Wrap,
The story is set in a working-class Irish neighborhood in Boston and follows a down-on-her-luck single mother with a disabled child, and a former classmate who has escaped the rough-and-tumble neighborhood. When she loses her minimum-wage job, she seeks employment from the former classmate who may or may not be the father of her child.
Lindsay-Abaire ("Rabbit Hole") wrote the adapted script himself.
Frances McDormand and Tate Donovan starred in the play.
When the pic was initially in development, McDormand was slated to reprise her role. No word if that's still the case
