McAvoy Aides Assange In Biopic

James McAvoy is in talks to join the upcoming Untitled Assange/Wikileaks pic says Variety.

Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is set to play the infamous Australian journalist and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange,

McAvoy is in talks to play German tech gur Daniel Domscheit-Bergwho became the spokesperson for the organization.  The Killing and new Robocop star Joel Kinnaman was previously linked to the role McAvoy is taking.

After becoming Assange's right-hand man, Domscheit-Berg left the organisation due to his belief that Assange failed to display journalistic integrity. The film is based on the book he wrote about the site and his working relationship with Assange.

Josh Singer is adapting the script that Bill Condon is set to direct.

Steve Golin, Michael Sugar and Bard Dorros will produce.

Production aims to begin next year depending upon Cumberbatch and McAvoy's schedules.

The project is one of several Assange films in development for both big screen and small.
