Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan took to Instagram to post a photo of himself and actor Chris Evans with the caption "The Torch has been passed! #FlameOn".
Evans played Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the first Fantastic Four in 2005 and its sequel 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer in 2007, with Jordan is set to play the character in the upcoming "Fantastic Four" reboot--.
Evans is on the stump for this week's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and took time to speak about spoke Jordan's Torch casting in a recent interview with the New York Daily News:
"It's so funny, you almost feel precious over the role that you don't want someone else to do it. But when you hear someone phenomenal is doing it, it's very exciting like you almost can't wait. I couldn't even give that guy any advice if I wanted, that guy is so good. It's exciting to see what he's going to do, because I know he's going to reinvent it in a way that I could never have imagined. It's almost like we're sharing, the character is ours. I feel like I'm connected with him in a way, It's a nice feeling."
Fox
wants to restore some credibility and quality to the property with the reboot, that is
currently targeting a June 19th 2015 release. Vancouver has lost out on the shoot for the upcoming reboot. The film's production will now take place in Louisiana due to tax incentives in place. Production begins soon
