Variety reports that John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins and Jim Belushi have joined the drama "The Man on Carrion Road".
The story follows a botched Mexican cartel deal on the
back roads of a border town. Patrick Wilson ("The Conjuring," "Watchmen") will portray a sheriff who must team
up with the retired lawman (Ian McShane) he replaced to investigate a drug deal gone bad, in order to stop a sadistic drug cartel butcher (Leguizamo), who has been brutalizing the town's residents.
No details were given for Collins and Belushi's characters.
Wilson replaced Timothy Olyphant who had to vacate the role due to scheduling conflicts with his TV series "Justified".
Gonzalo López-Gallego (“Apollo 18″) will call action from a script by Nils Lyew.
William Green and Aaron Ginsburg of Atlas Independent will produce the movie Andy Horwitz will exec produce.
Production is scheduled to begin on April 14.
