The story will focus on the supersonic blue hedgehog's rivalry with various characters in the games, including his nemesis Dr. Eggman. The hope is to launch a potential franchise.

Along with our wonderful creative partners at Marza, we're looking to capture everything that generations of fans know and love about Sonic while also growing his audience wider than ever before."
Upright Citizens Brigade vets Evan Susser and Van Robichaux are writing the adapted script.
Neal H. Moritz, Takeshi Ito and Mie Onishi will produce.
The games have been around for 20 years, selling over 140 million copies and generating $1 billion in revenues.

This is excited. I actually never really played the video games, but I read the comics and loved those.
