Frances Fisher has joined the the cast of the biopic "Woman In Gold" says Deadline.
The film follows Maria Altmann (Helen Mirren), a Jewish World War II survivor who fought the Austrian
government to get back several paintings by artist Gustav Klimt that were
pilfered from her family during wartime.
Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany will play a young Mirren in flashback sequences. Ryan Reynolds will play the attorney who took his case--at one point The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield was lined up to play the role that Ryan now has.
Fisher will play the mother of Reynolds' character in the film.
Daniel Brühl.will play Reynolds' adversary.
Max Irons, Antje Traue, Charles Dance, Elizabeth McGovern, Moritz Bleibtreu, Katie Holmes and Jonathan Pryce also star.
Simon Curtis is directing from a script written by Alexi Kaye Campbell.
David Thompson and Kris Thykier will produce the film.
Production is underway.
