John Cena Goes Bad In "The Nest"

Wrestling superstar John Cena  has joined the comedy The Nest says Deadline.


The story centers on two adult siblings (Amy Poehler and Tina Fey) who decide to throw an immense party in their childhood home just before it is sold, and learn lessons about growing up in the process.

Cena is set to play his first villain role in the film, a change of pace for him after spending more than a decade as an action hero in various films.

Maya Rudolph will play a childhood friend of the duo. Greta Lee will play Hae Won, a young mother who by chance gets a pity invite to the party. James Brolin is slated to play the father of Fey and Poehler's in the movie.Madison Davenport will portray Fey's artist daughter resentful of always having to play the parent. John Leguizamo and Ike Barinholtz also star.

Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect) is due to direct from a script by Saturday Night Live writer Paula Pell.

Jay Roach John C. Lyons and Fey are producing . Poehler is executive producing alongside Jeff Richmond and Brian Bell.

Production is now underway in New York City to meet its release on December 18, 2015.
