The Motion Picture Association of America has officially given "The Expendables 3" a PG-13 rating reports Exhibitor Relations.
The action sequel was given that rating for "violence including intense sustained gun battles and fight scenes, and for language."
The announcement marks the first time in the film series has not gotten an R, the two previous installments got the harsher rating for "strong bloody violence".
The first two films earned $275 million and $305 million respectively, the new film is expected to eclipse that amount.
Sylvester Stallone Jason Statham, Harrison Ford Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Wesley Snipes, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Antonio Banderas, Ronda Rousey,Terry Crews, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Victor Ortiz, Kellan Lutz and Kelsey Grammer star in the sequel.
It has also been confirmed that Rousey, Ortiz, Lutz and 24-year-old Glen Powell (The Dark Knight Rises) will play members of "a younger group of tech-savvy action heroes" who will clash with Stallone's group at first and then eventually team-up with them.
The movie will be directed by Patrick Hughes (Red Hill) from a script by Richard Wenk.
Boaz Davidson and Avi Lerner produce the film.
The movie is slated to open August 15th 2014.
