Two cast members of the HBO series "The Wire" are set to reunite for the upcoming CG sequel Finding Dory at Disney/Pixar Animation Studios.
In a recent interview with ShortList, actor Dominic West says that he and actor Idris Elba will both lend their voices to the upcoming animated sequel.
West says:
"I saw Idris recently. We're both in the sequel to Finding Nemo, so we were recording that. I'm in pretty regular contact with a lot of guys from The Wire - a lot of them are godparents to my kids, so I love them dearly."
No details were given regarding the characters that the duo Elba or West are voicing.
Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres are both confirmed to be returning to voice Marlin and Dory respectively. Willem Dafoe will reprise his role of the Moorish idol fish Gill. New characters played by Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy and Ty Burrell are in mix as well.
A follow up to the much-loved 2003 animation was announced last year with original co-director Andrew Stanton calling action once more. He’s co-writing the script with Victoria Strouse.
