Charlie Hunnam and Margot Robbie are circling the the romantic drama "The Mountain Between Us" says THR.
Based upon the Charles Martin penned novel, the story follows a female writer (Robbie) heading off to get married and a doctor (Hunnam) returning home
from a medical conference. After their flight is cancelled, the
strangers agree to charter a ride only to see the pilot suffer a heart
attack and crash into a desolate snowy mountain. The doctor is an avid
climber and he struggles to help get her down from the mountain in harsh
weather.
Michael Fassbender was attached to play the doc but has dropped out of the project
Gerardo Naranjo ("Miss Bala") was initially set to call action. Now Hany Abu-Assad ("Paradise Now") will call action.
J. Mills Goodloe wrote the adapted the script.
Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark David Ready and Jenno Topping will produce the film.
