World's Finest

Over The Weekend...The rumor mill seemed to be spinning fast...

A Penny's Worth...

"Heroes" co-star Stephen Tobolowsky (he plays the mysterious Bob Bishop on the series) is denying persistent rumors that he'll be playing Batman's butler Alfred in the "Justice League" movie.

The actor told Moviehole that "I sent all of the stories to my manager who has zero idea where the stories came from...who contacted Warners...who has no idea where the story came from. The studio said they don't even have a script....that they expect a draft in two MONTHS...they have not secured the super heroes yet let alone their butlers...we shall see."

Tobolowsky is a fine actor and he may even share a very similar look to Alfred as portrayed in the comics but he would be all wrong for the role as compared to the Michael Caine persona currently seen in the Batman film series or Michael Gough through the first 4 films...

Just how big would Al's role be in a film about the JLA anyway?

From Dark Lord of the Sith to Superman?

According to a tip given to Cinema Blend, JLA co-star Adam Brody (Flash) admitted that Hayden Christensen (pictured) was set to play Clark Kent/Supes in the flick...

By the time I stopped laughing Hayden Christensen Is Not Superman was posted on the Blend site.

Some news outlets are still running the first story...

It's not that Hayden's a bad actor but I really don't see him pulling that off .

Just let Brandon Routh fit the film into his schedule and be done with the funny...Seriously.

Back to Bond?

According to Ace Showbiz, the retired Sir Sean Connery wouldn't mind coming back to the film franchise that made him famous - James Bond.-For the right price...

He says "I wouldn't mind coming back as a Bond villain. But I don't think they would pay me enough. They don't pay the money for other parts, only for the Bond character, although that wasn't the case when I was doing it.".

It would be sooo cool to see Connery in front of the camera period. But seeing him in a Bond film would be particularly sweet...

I do not want The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen to be his last major film appearance...Money aside-Connery deserves to go out in style.
