The life story of Neil Armstrong, a true American hero, is finally making it to the big screen...
The biopic will be based upon the book "First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong (a really great read-BTW)" by NASA historian James R. Hansen reports Variety.
Hansen had rare direct access to Armstrong, a test pilot-turned-astronaut who was so driven to reach the moon that he was given the nickname of " Ice Commander."
As one of the most famous men on Earth he chose not capitalize on it with a political career or endorsements. Instead he put his family first, shut out the world and became a very private man.
Nicole Perlman will write the script. She recently penned the forthcoming "Challenger" chronicling physicist Richard Feynman's investigation into the 1986 Space Shuttle disaster helmed by Philip Kaufman.
Nathaniel Kahn is attached to call the shots.
All I can is-- it's about time!!!!
