The talented and very lovely Virginia Madsen has joined the cast of Mira Nair's Amelia Earhart biopic says Variety.The film chronicles the rocky relationship between the aviator (Hilary Swank) and publisher-promoter George Putnam (Richard Gere), whom Earhart eventually married.
Madsen plays, Putnam's first wife Dorothy Binney Putnam.
Ronald Bass wrote the screenplay
Production starts later this month in Canada and South Africa.
