Mega movie producer Joel Silver tells the folks over at the IESB that the film version of Wonder Woman seems to be back on track after some false starts...
Matthew Jennison and Brent Strickland are working on a new version of the script. Last year the duo wrote a WW2-set story that the studio snatched up last year--that has since been dropped....
The pair instead came up with a whole new storyline and setting.
Originally wanting to stay away from an origin story, Silver has now reconsidered and says they are really looking into a story involving Paradise Island and her background.
As for who may be calling Action-Silver did say that Andy Wachowski (Speed Racer) had an idea on how to open the flick but refused to comment any further.
Not to have even some aspects of WW's origins in the movie would have been a major mistake...I'm glad that Silver has decided that her roots should be explored cinematically.
