Emma In The Hood

A hip-hop themed musical flick using author Jane Austen's novel Emma" as its onspiration is in the pipeline...

Variety says the adaptation will be a contemporary tale, which takes place at an inner-city high school, and revolves around a stepbrother and stepsister.

The film will include at least 15 song and dance numbers.

Tyger Williams wrote the screenplay.

Austen's novel inspired the 1995 flick Clueless, the 1996 Gwyneth Paltrow period comedy "Emma", as well as a telefilm of the same name, with Kate Beckinsale in the title role...
