The Hollywood Reporter says that Orlando Bloom (pictured), Chow Yun-Fat and Liam Neeson are all negotiating to headline a remake of Le Cercle Rouge-directed in 1970 by Jean-Pierre Melville
Hong Kong director Johnny To will call the shots on the film titled Red Circle.
The plot of the film centers on Corey (Bloom), a refined thief; an alcoholic ex-cop; and an escaped murderer to plan a risky jewel heist.
The eclectic trio would serve the remake quite well if everything pans out.
The flick budgeted at $40 million is set to start shooting in June.
