It's good to be Ronald D. Moore right now... as an unapologetic fan of his and most of his work...I couldn't be more thrilled for him.
Variety reported late last week that the popular sci-fi writer/producer has signed a deal with United Artists to create a sci-fi trilogy for the big screen.
At one point Moore worked with Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner on the script for Mission: Impossible II, which may explain the genesis of the pact...Since Tom and Paula now run UA.
There are no details on the plot for the trilogy but with Battlestar Galactica coming to an after the current season--This is great news!
Still...I'd love for Moore to have heralded the return of Star Trek to the small screen...I wonder whether his former "Trek" boss Rick Berman now regrets having parted ways with him on Star Trek: Voyager--since his career continues to hit new heights...
Congrats! I will be keeping an eye on the progress of this massive undertaking....
