All The Right Moves

Variety reports that Ridley Scott is going to direct and produce an adaptation of Tom Epperson's period noir novel "The Kind One"

The story is set in 1930s Los Angeles, and tells the tale on an amnesiac who finds himself working for a mobster - a killer given the nickname "the Kind One" - and falling in love with his girlfriend.

Casey Affleck is attached to star in the film.

Epperson will adapt the book into a screenplay.

The younger Affleck continues to step out from big bro Ben's long shadow of late-with some excellent career moves. Working with Scott should be yet another feather in his cap.
