Actor/Stuntman Derek Mears ("The Hills Have Eyes II") is set to play famed hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees in the remake of Friday the 13th says Bloody Disgusting.Mears is quite imposing without heavy prosthetics or hockey mask...Great choice!
One potential victim for Mears has already been cast. Jared Padalecki is playing the male lead.
Marcus Nispel calls action on the update. Look for the horror flick in theaters on February 13th 2009.
