Seeing Red

Sibling filmmakers Bobby and Peter Farrelly (pictured), are planning to produce a comedy called Beaujolais, according to Variety.

The plot of politically incorrect comedy concerns the trailer-living Americans known as Rednecks.

The script, written by Mike Arnold and Chris Poole, is described as a redneck action adventure in the vein of Austin Powers or Ace Ventura.

This is a bold move making a film like this in today's climate--but the Farrelly's have had great success building their career out of offending the masses of folks. There's Something About Mary and Dumb & Dumber spring to mind as the best examples of what I'm talking about.

Heck comedian Jeff Foxworthy became famous because of his popular You Might Be a Redneck If... jokes...

I believe that it's a good idea to shake us out of the PC culture every now and then....

The Farrelly bros. are not expected to direct the pic.
