Denzel Washington will star/produce the post-apocalyptic drama "The Book of Eli " according to Variety.Washington will portray a lone hero in a not-too-distant apocalyptic future who must fight across America to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption.
Allen and Albert Hughes will double team direct from a script by Gary Whitta and Anthony Peckham.
Sounds like a cross between I Am Legend and Mad Max...However, Denzel and The Hughes boys are talented enough to make one heck of a flick
Filming starts in January in New Mexico.
