Producer Phillip B. Goldfine is moving ahead on the update of Terror Train that will stay true to the spirit of the original reports STYD..Roger Spotiswoode 1980 horror flick was about a slasher on board crowded train of partying college students. As everyone is in fancy dress the killer is able to use various costumes to carry out his killings.
Goldfine has no a writer or director yet but says he would like to get the film ready for release next fall.
Writer-director Gideon Raff got to work on a remake of the project last year and subsequently changed the film significantly. Thora Birch stars in that version called "Train", and no release date for it has yet been set.
2 competing films Yikes! The '80 film is a guilty pleasure but do we need 2 movies inspired by it?
