Hot Properties

A few blockbuster size bits....

**Fox Movies chief suit Tom Rothman told the IESB gang that along with a "Predator" update, chatter about an "Alien" prequel is oit there and Ridley Scott is "toying around with the idea" as a potential future project. "If you can get the originator to do it that would be the greatest thing, so I've got my fingers crossed"

So do I..

**Robert Zemeckis told MTV News exclusively that thanks to performance capture and CG animation, he's considering revisiting his late 80's animated/live-action hybrid hit "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". .

**Director Joe Dante told BloodyD that he expects a third "Gremlins" movie to happen sometime in the future but he himself won't be involved. He is however at work on a Blu-ray release of the first two films.

**In another exclusive--"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" co-creator Peter Laird tells MTV News that the recently announced live-action film will be a "Batman Begins"-style" origin reboot tale.

"..., I would also be into an all-new story, if it was decided that that was a more desirable direction," he further continued. "Either way is fine with me, to be honest"

**Speaking of Bats

Christian Bale spoke with TotalFilm about the challenge of the next film:

"Its got to be the right story. You can't make something like The Dark Knight and then come out with something disappointing. I would like it if people say, 'You'll never make a good third movie.' I say, 'OK, let's make a third movie in that case, let's prove them wrong"...

**A script review of Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer's draft for the "Conan" reboot has made its way into cyberspace.

**Terminator Salvation director McG has "challenged" Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen helmer Michael Bay:

"Yes if your sense of humor is third grade level, you can have $150 million to make a movie too..."

Coming from the guy who broght us such highbbrow entertainment like Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle--a bit of irony to say the least eh?
