Peter Berg (“Friday Night Lights” Hancock) is in talks to direct a big-screen version of classic Milton Bradley board game "Battleship" according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jon and Erich Hoeber (Whiteout) are writing the script for "an epic naval action adventure" though plot details are being kept under wraps.
The film is the latest childhood game to be adapted on film joining--Monopoly "Candy Land" has Kevin Lima attached to direct with Etan Cohen writing the script," and "Ouija Board".
I have great respect for Berg...It's this board game film genre...Sheesh....I suppose the potential is there for epic on screen action...But I wonder...Will little white pegs be included in the narrative?
