British indie film regulars Sam Riley and Carey Mulligan are attached to star in a new film version of Graham Greene's classic novel "Brighton Rock" reports Variety.
Greene's novel follows a young gangster in 1939 who marries the waitress who witnessed a murder he's committed in order to keep her quiet.
The book was adapted for the screen in 1947
The new version will more closely follow the book but shift the setting to 1964.
Imagine that? Someone is not remaking a film from the 70's 80's or 90's!
Rowan Joffe calls action on the $10-12 million film when filming kicks off in September.
