Robert Pattinson has a packed schedule--His newest gig will see him star in a a new film adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's short story "Bel-Ami " says Variety.
The story centers on Georges Duroy's corrupt rise to power from a poor ex-serviceman to one of the most successful men in Paris, most of which he achieves by manipulating a series of powerful, intelligent, and wealthy mistresses.
"It's a totally amoral character" says Pattison while promoting "Remember Me" which starts filming in around four or five weeks even though there's no female lead as yet. Allen Coulter ("Hollywoodland") directs the film from the screenplay by Jenny Lumet ("Rachel Getting Married") and Will Fetters ("The Lucky One").
Shooting on 'Ami' kicks off in Paris next year under the helm of first time director Declan Donnellan .
Rob's appeal and popularity will put butts in the seats for Ami..
Pattinson is also due to shoot the American frontier drama "Unbound Captives" later this year for Madeline Stowe..
"Twilight" should know that despite his character not appearing much in the "New Moon" book, he will be more prominent in the film as hallucinations of Bella (Kristen Stewart) to ensure more screen time according to the actor.
The actor also confirmed he's signed for the fourth "Twilight" film "Breaking Dawn" though no dates have yet been set for production. The final few days of shooting on "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" are about to get underway in Italy.
