Al Pacino is in talks for the lead role in the indie feature "Blink" according to the Risky Biz Blog.
Stephen Gaghan will be adapting the script and directing the film version of Malcolm Gladwell's non-fiction bestseller with several young actors circling the other lead..
The story centers on the relationship between an older man (Pacino) and the twentysomething son he was never close to. The two reconnect and must now find a way to make their new relationship work.
The son has a special gift: he can size up people and situations on a dime. The Pacino character spots this, and both wants to help the boy find himself and use him to make some dough on Wall Street.
If I were casting the pic--I would put Luke Grimes opposite Pacino... He's got the chops.
The film is being shopped around at the Cannes International Film Festival.
