The producers plan to take a page from Ridley Scott's upcoming "Robin Hood", the idea here is a gritty fact-based version of the medieval legend.
The story follows how crossbow marksman William Tell challenged the Hapsburg monarch Albrecht Gessler Tell's defiance ignited an uprising against the Austrian government which led to the formation of Switzerland.
What's the point of the word "legend" in the title if the flick will not focus on that aspect of the story....?
