Boys In The Hood

The first teaser trailer for Ridley Scott's Robin Hood has hit the Net.

Russell Crowe is Robin Hood, Cate Blanchett plays Maid Marian, Matthew Macfadyen as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Danny Huston is King Richard, Mark Strong plays Sir Godfrey, William Hurt is William Marshall and Scott Grimes plays Will Scarlet.

This version of the famed tale focuses on Robin’s backstory as an archer in the army of King Richard the Lionheart. It also touches upon his childhood, when he was abandoned by his parents.

He spends his time in the army fighting the French, then returns to Nottingham where he becomes an outlaw while wooing the widowed Lady Marian.



It seems that the Gladiator duo hope to find similar success with that same gritty style.
